FAQS
1. What is MyGroceryGirl.com?
At MyGroceryGirl.com we do the tedious and time consuming research involved in pairing weekly grocery sales with available and hard to find coupons for unbelieveable savings. We provide you with an easy-to-use list of these fantastic deals at each store. We even tell you where to find each coupon. And no cutting or filing any coupons until you are ready to use them!
Use the Weekly List to revolutionize the way you shop and cut $300-$400, on average, off your monthly grocery bill.
2. Where do I find the coupons?
Most coupons come from the Sunday newspaper and some are printable from the internet and some come from the grocery stores themselves. With the MyGroceryGirl system you do not cut coupons until you are ready to use them! That's right - no cutting and filing coupons that you'll never use!
The Weekly List will tell you not only what sales items can be combined with coupons but in which insert and on what page to find them. If they are internet printable coupons this will also be easily identifiable and links to the coupon websites provided. If you want multiples of the same coupon in order to stockpile on fantastic deals we provide you with links to where to find these too.
The Grocery Coupon Database houses thousands of coupons. You can easily find coupons you need even if they aren't on the Weekly List. For example, if you need yogurt you can enter the word, "yogurt" in the search box. It will show you a list of all unexpired yogurt coupons and where to find them. Choose each coupon you like, then display and print your own list of coupons. This should only take a couple minutes, including clipping, and you'll be saving even more money!
3. How much time will I spend each week?
With MyGroceryGirl.com's Weekly List you will no longer need to cut and file coupons each Sunday. That's right, no cutting! Simply label the front of the coupon insert (such as SmartSource) with the Sunday's date and number the top corner of each page starting with the top page. Just number every other page instead of every one to save some time. Paper clip the 2 or 3 coupon inserts together. Place the labeled and numbered inserts in a folder or binder arranged by date or just stack them on top of one another! Don't forget to check for coupons in Parade also. This takes just a couple minutes each Sunday.
Each week stop by MyGroceryGirl.com and print your own customizable Weekly List of grocery deals. This may take 2-4 minutes. Get out your stack of coupon inserts and using your Weekly List find and cut the specific coupons you need. Depending on how many deals you are interested in this may take 5 - 20 minutes. That's it! Now the fun begins!! Watch your friends and family 's mouths drop open when they see your grocery store receipts!
4. Stock Piling vs. Need Based Shopping - Do I have to stock pile?
Need-Based grocery shopping is when you make your grocery list based on all the items you need for the week and only buy those items. Stock piling is buying multiples of the same item at rock bottom prices. If you choose to regularly stock pile when items are 70,80,90, or even 100% off you will begin to see a drastic decrease in your grocery bills.
This takes a few weeks as you fill up your own 'stores' at home. Eventually you will no longer 'need' to purchase many weekly items; certainly not at a premium price. You will become accustomed to amazing bargains on mostly name brand items and will find that even though you are now spending far less than you once were - your shelves will be overflowing!
And while you may cringe at 'needing' to pay a premium price from time to time it will sure be a lot easier when the total bill is 60%, 70%, or 80% less overall! Also, you will find that you are paying far less for your groceries at regular grocery stores vs. discount or warehouse stores.
5. When is the Weekly List published to the site?
Having the Weekly List available in a timely manner is of the utmost importance to MyGroceryGirl.com. Each Weekly List will be published to the site during the first day of the sale. Example: Walgreens weekly sales run Sunday to Saturday thus the Walgreens Weekly List will be available each Sunday as early as possible.
